I recently completed Tea Party, a series of molded paper tea pots, cups, saucers and accessories. Using fresh sheets of wet handmade paper (from Helen Hiebert), I draped them over my great aunt’s tea set objects. Photographs by Bill Bachhuber.  More photos here: www.dianejacobs.net

Stories of PLACE at Atkinson Elementary School
A school wide tile project is underway at Atkinson. I am leading K-5th graders in clay tile exploration. Pollinator Panels Installed at Atkinson
Friday December 11 was a perfect day! The weather finally warmed up and the sun was shinning bright. I got to Atkinson early to load the kiln with pressed clay leaves for the large Welcome Tree mosaic mural that is part of the “Stories of Place” project I am hoping to lead at Atkinson if funded. Art in the Garden Project at Atkinson Elementary
First graders in Susan Tims’ class painted a specific pollinator using acrylic paint on 16” square MDO board. Beautiful renditions of bees, moths, butterflies and bats will be hung on both sides of the chain link fence surrounding the pollinator garden at Atkinson Elementary School.
